Implementing Experts Group (P) Ltd (IEG) is a construction
company which has achieved major success worldwide. Their
innovation in the field of architecture fused with contemporary
cultural design has been the stepping stone for the creation of many
popular monuments around the world.
At the World Exposition 2000 held in Hannover, Germany, the
Nepal Himalaya Pavilion was arguably the center of attraction.
More than 3.5 million visitors thronged the pavilion during the five
months (June-October) of the Exposition. Tens of millions others
had read, heard and seen the breathtaking Nepalese landmarks and
the items showcased in the pavilion. It was probably the first expo
where so many visitors were introduced to the unique Nepalese
architecture in such a short period of time.
Some 178 countries and 25 international organizations had
participated in Expo 2000 Hannover, whose theme was "Mankind,
Environment and Technology." Nepal was adjudged the best by
visitors and media alike. Apparently, Nepals choice of Buddhism
as an integral part of its pavilion touched the right chord.
