Nepal Commercial Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. (NCE) was established in 1959 by Raj Krishna Shrestha with the concept of providing unparalleled liaison support to leading international Consultants, Contractors, Manufacturers and Suppliers. This company has an impeccable and unrivaled list of contracts secured for Principals from numerous countries in fields of power generation and distribution, telecommunication, irrigation, construction of roads & bridges, supplies, etc. Mr. Raj Shrestha can be accredited for introducing Japanese Trading houses to Nepal. His entrepreneurial skills were important in implementing major developmental projects in Nepal carried out bi-laterally with major Japanese business houses such as Mitsui, Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, and Nichimen. Under the vision and supervision of Mr. Raj Shrestha, Nepal commercial was able to obtain special developmental (KR-1/KR-2) grants for Nepal where it provided various fertilizers and rice to the people of Nepal. Nepal Commercial has a history in dealing with essential commodities such as reinforcement steel bars, cement, corrugated iron sheet, galvanized iron wire and construction machineries. There is and has been great diversity in the trading activities of NCE from commodities to the field of radio broadcasting, the expansion of Nepalese telecom sector, and large electricity projects to illuminate Nepal.

Liaisoned by NCE and constructed by Kawasaki Heavy industry, the Karnali Bridge, during the time of construction was the longest cable stayed bridge in the world.

NCE was a representative with whose help Taisei was awarded the contract for the construction of Marshyangdi hydro power project.

Following his fathers footsteps Mr. Vinod Krishna Shrestha expanded Nepal Commercial to accommodate the growing demand of its services. He was the key person to introduce Kanematsu Gosho Co. Ltd, Japan now known as Kanematsu Corporation of Japan to Nepal. They established Kanematsu Corporation’s offices in Nepal in the year 1981, and NCE worked hand in hand with them for 14 years.

Nepal Commercial Enterprises is also the sole sales representative in Nepal of M/S Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., India for the last forty years and is the market leader in supply of security equipments to all major Banks and Financial Institutions in Nepal.
NCE is also the sole representative of Leica Geosystems, Switzerland and provides quality geosystem equipments to the Government of Nepal.

Today NCE is managed by Bikram Krishna Shrestha.
